SEALED BID AUCTION
On August 27, 2018, The City of Jennings will be offering for sale the listed properties in this brochure. Pictures will be posted on www.cityofjennings.org, for your convenience
The bid period is between August 27 – September 7, 2018. Sealed bids should be submitted to Jennings City Hall, 2120 Hord Avenue 63136 no later than 4:30 p.m. September 7, 2018. All bids will be opened and read publicly on September 12, 2018 @ 10:00 am in Jennings City Hall Council Chamber. If there are two or more people bidding on the same property for the same dollar amount and have the highest bid for a property, the City of Jennings will allow the parties to re-bid that same day until a final highest bidder has won.
Separate bids must be submitted for each piece of property and placed in a separate envelope, if bidding on more than one property.
All envelopes must be sealed and marked “Sealed bid for property (Attention City Clerk) write on the envelope the address of the property you are bidding on”.
We only accept cashier check and money orders. Made payable to the City of Jennings
INFORMATION NEEDED FOR PROCESSING
Please include your full name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and the address of the property of interest. A Bid Form is on our web page for your convenience. Deliver it to Jennings City Hall before the deadline.
There will be a starting bid for each property in this brochure and posted on our Jennings web page (www.cityofjennings.org).
The City of Jennings reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all bids.
If your bid is awarded, payment will be due no later than the following day after the bid opening. If the property is not paid for by the deadline, the runner up will be offered the property. All properties awarded are required to complete the Residential Vacant Property Registration. Refer to the City of Jennings Ordinance 2478 Section 400-4. A copy of the Ordinance and Registration will be provided.
Payment should be cashier check or money order. Make payable to the City of Jennings. (Do not combine payments for more than one property).
Remember; these properties are sold As-Is.
You will be awarded a Trustee Deed and will be responsible for obtaining quiet title. We encourage you to take the time to view these properties (from the outside (ONLY) before you make an offer.
For your safety DO NOT attempt to enter any of these properties.
The City of Jennings takes no responsibility for any endangerment from such actions.
You are responsible for all fees necessary for the transfer of ownership.
